Every Friday we round up some of our favorite finds on the web, from illustrations and videos to fonts and photography. This week, we went back to school with some illustrated alphabets.

Barcelona-based Jose Arroyo created a series of alphabet illustrations where each letter contained a cultural reference associated with it, like I for Indiana Jones and W for Wild West. Our favorite was saved until last with this fabulous Z for zombie.

The Walker dead
Nathan Walker is an Art Director and Illustrator based in Austin, Texas. He says that a lot of his inspiration cames from animated shows like Ren & Stimpy and he pours all of that lurid mayhem into Alphabetcha – his illustrated take on the ABCs.

French illustrator, Malika Favre, added an erotic twist to her take on the alphabet. Each letter features some beautifully designed pin-up girls in compositing positions. Be warned: Malika’s alphabet contains lots of negative space naughtiness.
