You’re pathetic. A Client sent me 75 photos to be included in a production for them, and there is no way to click “Download All.” According to your tech support (gag/choke) you have to download them one at a time. She said you were “working on it.” I have NEVER seen a less intuitive program than this. When you see that someone sent you a folder of files your option is to “DOWNLOAD” them. Now MOST people would think that clicking on that red tab would mean you were going to be sent the files and a download would begin. WAAAAAA! Not the case. Clicking download brings up another window that wants you to not download them, but stuff them into yet another folder. You aren’t even close to downloading files, so why are you given only the option to “download” when it’s not even close to what it does?

The problem with you is your technical propellor heads sit around patting themselves on the back and salivating all over their keyboards, when they are totally clueless about the customer experience. Remember the customer? I mean, how hard is it to click a button and have all the files download successively? Doesn’t anyone there think that having to download 75 files one at a time would be a pain in the A**? I guess not. You don’t see it from the customer’s point of view.

We have just issued a Memorandum to all our clients advising them NOT to use HighTail (stupid name by the way, doesn’t say anything about what you do…) for file transfers, since your downloading capability is as primitive as it gets. You stink, and that’s the kindest thing I can say about you.

And by the way, you may think it’s “cute” but putting up on your web site your “GET SHIT DONE” program…it’s offensive. IF… I told you in my letter that your product is shit, your support is shit, and your understanding of the customer experience is shit- you would think I was rude, but apparently I’m supposed to think you posting your “Get shit done” on the web site for the public to see, is cute and innovative. It’s NOT. It’s rude, inconsiderate, and totally juvenile and immature. Not that anyone there would pick up on that. It tells me a LOT about your company.

When you all get your pink slips and wonder “What happened?” maybe you will reflect that being rude and obnoxious, and not understanding the “customer” experience had something to do with it. The customer…remember?

First let me say that I have been using You send it \ Hightail for about a year and a half now. I use this product at least once a day in my business. Yes it does have some small issue’s that I’m sure they will address, but all and all it has saved me hours of breaking down files to send them the old way via the internet.

Second instead of smack talking and being rude yourself maybe you should look at how you conduct your business. If the person who sent you the 75 pictures would have put them into a file and zipped them you could have downloaded the zipped file all at once, extracted it and had your pictures. That of course would mean you have to understand what your trying to accomplish.

It seems to me that it’s easier to smack talk than it is to be smart enough to know what your talking about.

I have tried Drop Box and Adobe and they are not any better than Hightail, actually they are slower in the download portion.

In closing I know Hightail will continue to improve on thier product and it will get easier to use as they move forward because I have seen the great strides they have made since I started using the product.

As for you Mr. Morgan you should probably put your brain in gear before you let your mouth start speaking and understand what you are trying to accomplish, your comments are rude and obnoxious in themselves. If this is how you handle your business it’s a wonder you have clients, because all this shows me is that you lack the knowledge to handle your clients requirements properly and efficently and if I were them I would be careful trusting my work to someone with your lack of ability.

To Jay: I discount any rant that starts with “You’re pathetic.” Bad form.

We have been using Senduit/ Hightail for over three years to send large and sensitive files over the internet and have never had any of the issues you have posted here…I very well agree with Scott that the problems you are having may have been as a result of user error, primarily in the way the files are packaged and sent out.

Hightail is an excellent application that has saved our Company a lot of time and headache in file transfer and do not deserve this public lashing.

    To the Hightail team
You have an excellent product and offer superb service…sad that these unwarranted negative comments a have to see the light of day.
All the best for 2014 guys!

Hightail has been a huge asset to my small but growing video production company. The simple download page is incredibly helpful for clients who aren’t as computer savvy and the tracking features are very helpful in determining who has actually received and downloaded the files.

Thanks and keep up the great work!

    To Jay:

You completely contradicted yourself when accusing Hightail of bad form… which your statement is gushing with. They in my opinion have great form. I’ve been using YouSendIt/Hightail for years and couldn’t be happier.

Keep up the great work Hightail, love your new improvements and branding. I will continue to give you my business!
